Shashwath is a talented 1st grader with a strong passion for chess, showing impressive dedication to improving his skills at a young age. With a current USCF rating of 945, he is already making his mark in the chess community. Shashwath’s enthusiasm for learning is evident as he actively engages with puzzles, tactics, and endgames, constantly striving to improve his strategic thinking.
In addition to his chess accomplishments, Shashwath is ranked 97th in the national top 100 under 7 USCF rankings as of January 15, 2025, which is a remarkable achievement at such a young age. He is committed to reaching his short term goal of a USCF rating of 1500 by the end of 2025 and has made excellent progress toward that target.
Shashwath’s ethic and love for the game are matched by his interest in learning new concepts, whether through one-on-one coaching sessions or solving complex puzzles. Beyond chess, Shashwath is active and enjoys playing tag and outdoor games, along with learning to swim. He also thrives in school, where he enjoys art, projects, and new challenges.
